ORIGINS SKINCARE

Hellooooooo, I'm back with a little skincare post for you all

After seeing alot of raving about Origins products all over social media I just HAD to get some for myself to try out.

I thought why not get some products for what I thought my most problem areas are - dry patches on my cheek area and dark under eye circles that I hate ever so much.

- Origins GinZing refreshing eye cream

Got to say it does what it says on the tub, brightens and depuffs. I've definitely felt from using this in the mornings my eyes have been a lot brighter and refreshed. Sometimes because of my work pattern I have to mix it up and use this as part of my night time routine, and I've found dark under eye circles although not gone have been a little lighter in the way they look.
I do find the texture of the cream quite thick and it does look like a shiny film for a little while if you use it just on its own - which I don't see as a problem as always use a moisturiser afterwards which blends and works well.

- Origins A Perfect World Antioxident Moisturizer with White Tea
This stuff smells INCREDIBLE, I absolutely love it!! I can't describe it that well, sort of a tangeriney, sugary, sweet smell haha I don't know! But its amazing.
The texture is lovely, not to thick and not to light. My skin really soaks it in well and feels really soft, hydrated, lovely and refreshed afterwards. It certainly looks and feels healthier.  Even the dry patches on my cheeks is under control which is a plus.
Although I find it don't use this or something on it regularly it does come back but whack a little of this on overnight and its gone! Putting on my makeup has become easier to and looks alot better now my skin is properly hydrated.

As you can tell - this is definitely my favourite out of the two and will 100% be repurchased, but are both part of my daily skincare routine now

Have you tried these Origins bits? or any other products you recommend?
I'm itching to try something else

NEW L'OREAL BUYS | THOUGHTS

Two years ago I WOULD NOT have been to say I've bought a different brand of makeup to try. But now, I'm always on the hunt for something new.

These are a couple of my new recent pick ups by L'Oreal, A brand I'm really starting to fall in love with! (heart eyes emoji)
-  L'Oreal True Match Foundation in shade 2N Vanilla
- L'Oreal Miss Baby Roll Mascara in Black

I'll start with the foundation :)

Wow, Don't think I've ever used a foundation like it before. When I first popped it on it was so light feeling compared to others I have used previously, not cakey like at all but decent coverage that hides all my blemishes, I have worn it all day (12+ hours) and its still be visibly on but the coverage worn off a little. It does what it says on the bottle, very blend-able with other products you wish to use to complete your look. I didn't notice when I got it but it has a slight glow/shimmery pigment within it that I really love as it give me a little extra brightness.
I've never said this about a foundation before, but I would happily wear this just on its own and no other face bits if was go for a natural day but wanted a little coverage.
My only little gripe is I did find it a little more watery than other foundations I have used and I seem to use a a few more pumps that I'm used to, so we'll see how long its going to last.
Other than that, it's still a foundation I would definitely recommend and also repurchase.

Now for the Mascara...

I always have trouble finding a mascara that adds extra curls, volume etc so always willing o try something new, so when I saw this on the shelves I just had to give it a try and I do like it! but its not a love product. The cutesy packaging is adorable and the curl roller brush on the wand really makes it different from the rest. I do really enjoy how it applies the mascara to my lashes.
I didn't feel any extra curling benefits from this but more the voluminous effect with every lash coated, opening up the eyes and lash lengthening. I found it drys well and lasts all day which is a great bonus but also so easy to get off at the end of the day.
I'll be honest I don't feel there is a lot to rave about with this mascara and not sure it'll be something I'll repurchase but its always good to give everything a go.

The great thing about both of these products is they are both under £10

Whats your experience with these or other L'Oreal products?

SPRING MAKEUP | PART 1

So the dream is, wavy beach hair, sun, sea, sand, pretty clothes and beautifully bronzed makeup. But for now stuck in the UK in my cosy jumper because spring doesn't quite know what its doing yet!
I've got myself a favourite everyday make up that is a little more natural with a pop of colour.

I feel this is alot more toned down to what I usually wear eye-wise, would be more toned down without the eyelilner I know haha! But we know I can't go anywhere without it!
Nonetheless, a perfect everyday look, that is also very diverse and you can jazz it up or tone it down as much as you like.
Some ideas; Without eyeliner or maybe a brown/coloured eyeliner would alter the look completely or add golden glitter and extra highlighter to change it up again

. Perfect for those of you with holidays coming up, quick, easy simple and pretty.
This is something defo I'll be wearing on my holibobs in august when I'm not wandering around makeup free.

Product Used

Foundation - Rimmel True Match in
Concealer - Maybelline Eraser Eye in Light
Setting Powder - Rimmel Lasting Finish in Light Porcelain
Contour and Highlight - Tanya Burr in Champagne Shimmer and Caramel Kisss

GIRLS NIGHT OUTFIT

Sometimes all you need is some quality time with your bff, get yourself a little glammed up, a few drinks and quite a few selfie haha!! This is exactly what I got up to last night ๐Ÿ˜„
I don't get to do this half as much as I like and really do cherish the little moments where I can spend some time with my friends talking all things girly...

I really did enjoy myself and felt confident and snazzy in my outfit ( as it covered all my non-favourite bits haha), here's a little snippet...
The top was my only new purchase from River Island and I'm so in love with it, the broken shirt kind of look. I'm all about the cold shoulder at the moment too and think its going to last me right through the spring/summer-so many ways to wear it and items to wear it with. See it here. Leather-look leggings and Boot from New Look.
Teamed with a dark lip to make your look pop I wore Black Cherry by Revlon.
The dressing up part can be the most fun, right? I love getting ready for a night out.

Can't wait to do this again!!

What do you get up to as part of girls night?
xx

ps - heres a funny fact, I left the price sticker on my bra all night!! so glad you couldn't (hopefully) see it through my top haha

WINGED EYELINER CUT CREASE?

When boredom strikes, we play with our makeup! Well I do, anyway!

When having a good old scroll through Instagram like you do, looking at alot of the makeup bits - I came across a video where a person claimed to be bored of there winged eyeliner and winged it round into the crease for a change.
So a sort of cut crease winged eyeliner look I guess?
So my inspiration has been taken from there and I thought I'd give it a go as we ALL know I'm a big fan of black liquid eyeliner and wear it day-in-day-out as part of my makeup routine so why not see if I can style it another way?

First Thoughts
- Wow, this is hard
- Oh no! its smudged *wipes off and starts again*
- Maybe it'll look better with eyeshadow
- Hmmm lets try the pinks I've never used
- Smudges again
- Why can't I do both eyes the same?
- Odd

To be fair, I don't think it looked that bad, but I don't think it'll be something I'll do as part of day makeup, maybe as a night out or fancy dress! I also reckon it'll look nice as part of a dark smokey look.
I did however really enjoy using the pink eyeshadows, don't know why I haven't reached for them before- will add to these to my summery makeup go-to's. Something fresh and bright, also very different for me.

For those of you who follow me on Instagram (if you don't, go check it out) will see that I treated myself to a new eyeshadow palette at the weekend, Maybelline, The 24Karat Nudes. After eyeing it up on snapchat for so long, I just couldn't wait to give it a try!

It was the first thing I picked up on Monday morning and went for a gold smokey-ish look, that I just HAD to share with you all!

Here's an up close version, I really really love it!

HAIRCUT THOUGHTS

I had my hair cut nearly 2 weeks ago now so its given me some time to get used to it and what not. I've found it to be alot more maintenance than longer hair and alot less manageable- can't just leave it un-styled as it look horrendous (in my opinion haha)
Got to be honest and say, I really did not like it when the hairdresser had finished. My experience with the hairdresser is a whole other story but my hair was nothing like I asked, definitely didn't want a graduated long bob- but ended up with one! I couldn't of got it levelled out there and then as would of been too short for my liking - BUT I've learnt to like it with lots of trial and error 'hair styles' and don' think its all that bad anymore.
My go-to faves are-

-Using my straighteners to create messy waves like in the picture above
I'm looking at getting one of those sprays that creates beach waves and see how that goes or investing in some curlers haha!
- The half up half down pony with a few added waves - think this is my most worn at the mo.

Do you have any hair stories and what you did whilst it grew? I'd love to know!
 Any product recommendations?

CURRENT SKINCARE BITS

I've been bad!

I'm not one of those who keep up a regular in depth skin care routine. I've tried and failed many times. But I'm getting on in age abit and its starting to show haha so here I am, new year, fresh start and trying again! I mean, I don't have an in depth routine, its very basic but its a start, right?

These are my golden oldies, what kicked off my skincare routine in December 2014 and stuck by me ever since

Nivea Gentle Exfoliating Scrub
Nivea 2 in 1 Cleanser and Toner

Using these products together leaves my skin feeling really fresh, clean, soft and nice smelling.

During the colder months, I suffer with random dry patches on my face, last year was my forehead, this year has been my cheeks. So to tackle this I've been using the Vaseline Intensive Care, essential healing. I pop it on every night before bed to soak into the skin and its done the trick!
No more dry patches.

The Dove Derma Spa goodness3 is a new purchase. I noticed I suddenly had dry legs so thought it was time to try something new. After the first use my legs are so much better, smoother, less dry. In the description it claims to luminate skin so I'm looking forward to giving this a try on face in spring.

Another new purchase. As I don't do the exfoliate, cleanse routine as often as I should I thought a daily scrub would be a brill idea to keep pores clean.

Clean and Clear Morning Energy

What caught my attention was the lovely lemony scent and the shimmering consistency

Using it every morning as part of the shower routine has really helped clear up some problem patches I was having, leaving my skin clean and ready for the day.

Out of my No7 beauty advent calendar I'd say these are my most used

Protect and Perfect Lip Care
Protect and perfect Eye Cream

The Lip Care is incredible, I use this as part of my nighttime routine and pop it on before bed - I've not had a problem with dry lips, or lips drying out through the day since.
My eyes seem to be my biggest flaw on my face at the moment (i think anyway) so I'm trying anything I can to improve them. Since using the Eye Cream I've noticed a bit of difference in the lines (wrinkles๐Ÿ˜ข) around my face certainly not as visible.

All products in this post can be purchased from Boots if you've seen anything you like.

The next thing I'd really like to purchase is the 'Don't look at me' face mask by Lush.
I'm always looking for new skincare products especially now I'm getting into it abit more - do you have any faves/recommendations?

You're all beautiful!! ๐Ÿ’•

FOTD: FT TANYA BURR COSMETICS

Hey Ho, hows everyone's January going so far?

I asked on Twitter in a mini poll what post you'd like to see next and face of the day came out at the top - so here it is ๐Ÿ˜€

I was gifted this Tanya Burr Cosmetics Beautifully Defined kit for christmas and I'm really enjoying using it. I love how you have some products all in one place, the eyeshadow, highlighter, liquid highlighter and bronzer. Perfect for if your just starting out with experimenting with makeup or if your in a rush and need a quick look, whack on some foundation and use these. Tell you what, this would be perfect for if your going on holiday! A nice compact design with a ready made bronze look if thats the kinda look your like going for. I know I do, if I'm sporting a nice tan.
I haven't tried the liquid highlighter yet, but I'm really looking forward to trying it in the summer mixed with my foundation for a 'soft dewy glow' as described on the back of the packaging as a glow in spring/summer is just what you need.
Think I'm actually going to save this to take on my holidays!

Makeup products used
  • Foundation - Revlon Colorstay in Sand Beige
  • Concealer - Younique in Orangza
  • EyeShadow - Tanya Burr - Silk pyjamas (my fave of the 3) as base - Cuddle me in crease and lower lash line - Baking Brownies - outer corner of eye, lower lash line, and eyerows
  • Eyeliner - Collection Fast stroke eyeliner in Black
  • Mascara - No7 Midnight Lash in Black
  • Bronzer - Collection Bronze Glow in Shimmering Light
  • Highlight and Contour- Tanya Burr in Champagne Shimmer and Caramel Kiss such beautiful shades
  • Lipstick - No7 Pillarbox
I find it really strange not using black eyeliner on the lower lash line. I do think it makes me look rather tired when my eyes aren't defined by thick black lines haha, but hey something to practise on right?

Have you got any of these products, what do you think to them?

MINI LUSH HAUL | BLOGMAS DAY 12

Can I start by saying how CUTE these bags are? Just look at them...

When I went on my little birthday shopping spree, I just had to pop into Lush to top up my collection as we all know this year I have become a huge fan of the bath bombs and bubble bars. I definately had to have a look at the Christmas range and I think I spent quite some time smelling them all. I'll be honest with you, I'm very particular when it comes to smells- so most of them wasn't for me๐Ÿ˜ฒ but I did come out with 2 christmassy ones.
So White bath bomb and Peeping Santa bubble bar, my favourite of the two.
I'd probably say these are near enough very opposite to each other. So White is very crisp apple scent whereas Peeping Santa is a sweet fruity smell. But it's aways good to mix it up :) This is my second Peeping Santa since they've been launched this year- I just love it and the orangy-red water and just knowing its Christmassy related, makes the bath instantly more festive. Really looking forward to giving So White a go soon.

I also got some of my other favourites that I've grown to love this year.
Sex Bomb a nice calming floral smell, always a go to if I'm feeling a little stressed and want to have a proper chill out and just look how pretty it is with the rose shape.
Now, The Comforter bubble bar - I cannot rave about this enough. This is a staple in my house and has been repurchased so many times. Its mine and Alex's favourite, he always asks to use it  'pink bubbly bath?' he'll ask. I've actually used lush products to teach him colours haha, an excuse to buy maybe? I usually get between 4 and 6 baths from this.
Another fruity one, more berry toned. I'm starting to see a pattern here and my preferred tastes haha

Whats your favourite Christmas Lush product? and your everyday staple?
I'd love to know maybe its something I haven't seen or tried!

FESTIVE LIP PICKS | BLOGMAS DAY 10

Since becoming such an obsessive over lipsticks and products it'd only feel wrong to not share with you my favourites I've been wearing this month.

RIMMEL KATE 107
This will come as no shock to you, its been a fave for a while (probably like most of the world). But the deep rich wine red shade is just perfect for this season whether its being worn casually or your dressing it up.

L'OREAL GOLD OBSESSION PLUM GOLD

I couldn't wait to get my hands on this, a little birthday treat to myself and I've worn it a fair bit since. Its not too dark and not too light with a cheeky hint of gold running through it. Who doesn't love some shimmer in there lipstick? I most certainly do! Perfect for a night out or for some shimmer on a dull day.

SLEEK MATTE ME in RIOJA RED
Wow, Wow, Wow - if you want to make a statement this is the one, and sometimes we want to do that. So bright and cheerful and very Red! but also christmassy looking if you've got a cosy jumper on. This is the first matte lipstick I've ever worn and got to say I was pleasantly surprised with how amazing it is. Stays all day and doesn't dry out your lips at all!
Theres a picture up on my instagram if you want to see how bright it is @_gracie92

Whats been your go-to lip products this December? I'd love to see...

A LIP BIT OBSESSED

For those who know me, know I did not use to wear anything on my lips other than vaseline I was more focused on my eyes, and black liquid eyeliner (still a fave). This time last year I had ONE lip crayon, 'The Redder the Better' it was a good product as I could wear it lightly or as a deep bright red.
I don't think I was really into lip products as I always thought  when looking in the mirror I just looked daft, anyone else?
But now I'm not too fussed - I think I look okay.

I started looking at lipsticks and decided it'd be good to have a different range of lip colours. It started off just wanting a nude and the purchases just got darker and darker. I personally think that the darker, redy/berry tone colours suit me alot more.

I mean, my collection is still extremely small and pretty rubbish compared to so many people... don't judge (haha) - its gonna take a while to build but at least I now have a range of colours to choose from.

L-R | Rimmel 107, Revlon 477, Rimmel 128, Rimmel 077, Rimmel 38

Lots of Rimmel as you can tell, I really love it at the moment and definitely a go to favourite brand, everytime I'm in my local drugstore I have to go and have a look at the lipstick stands to see what I could be purchasing next. I just find it so strange how this time last year I was't interested and now I can't get enough and want to grow my collection.

My most worn at the moment is Rimmel 128 as its fits well for this time of year but I'm trying to mix it up daily.

I'm not sure how spring/summer will go when the brighter colours become more popular as its just not me, but hey we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

I purchased Rimmel 107 today - here is a silly picture of me trying it out :)

Do you have any recommendations of any lipsticks I can look at purchasing?
I just can't get enough of lipsticks and eyeshadows at the moment, really loving going out looking and seeing whats next on my 'to buy' list :)

Peace Out xx

CURRENT FAVOURITE EYESHADOW

bad swatching skills haha

MAKEUP REVOLUTION- FLAWLESS ULTRA EYESHADOWS - £8

To those who have been reading this blog will see how much I have raved about this eyeshadow palette recently.
A real little star buy.
I really am loving it at the moment! I don't own a massive collection of eyeshadows but this is still my go-to everyday fave, definitely the first one I pick up! I purchased this because I was wanting a palette with more autumny/winter colours in and this was just the perfect fit- can you see all those coppery golds? The most used ones of course. There is a range of shimmer and matte shades but I mainly use the shimmery ones, I just love abit of Glitz at this time of year.

SWATCHED (top-bottom)

Buff, Universal, Red Night, Gold Digger, GreenStars, Silver Smoke and Darkest Shimmer.

All shimmer shades of course, most of these I've used- some I haven't yet but still love all the same. I really love the consistency of these, really good and so easily blend-able to create many different looks. I find the more shimmery shades a little more creamy (if thats the right word) but it still goes on so well and you can get away with just using the one shade. I find using just Copper Shimmer or Darkest Shimmer on there own really make my eyes look a little more green and stand out-ish.

I really love an eyeshadow palette where you can use it so freely and create a range of different looks, which I feel I can do this - perfect for this time of year. The more gold tones will definitely be carrying me through to christmas.
see previous post here for some 'looks'

Next time I'm in my local shopping centre make-up shopping, I'll be going in to have a look at the other palettes Makeup Revolution have because well...why not? Any recommendations?
Do you own one of these palettes, whats your favourite shade?

AUTUMN MAKEUP

Hello You!

Now Autumn has fully set in, its getting oh so cosy and nights in are becoming the preferred option, but sometimes we have to go out places and if your like me mostly like to have your makeup done.
I know we all change our makeup routines and choose a range of different products. I do too, well sort of! I change what I use on my eyes and lips. My relationship with makeup has changed alot over the last year and I'm open to try out new 'looks'. Its only recently I've developed a love for lipsticks so still working on my collection.

Thought I'd pop together a little post with a few different looks on- just because... I love makeup haha and like to experiment with it
I did have to take my own photos, so some good ones for you to laugh at...

My base was all the same in these photos;
Foundation- Rimmel True Match in Soft Beige
Concealer - Bourjois Radiance Reveal in Ivory
Bronzer - Collection
Liquid Eyeliner - Collection in Black
Mascara - Lo'real Volume Million Lashes Fatale
Eyeshadow - all Makeup Revolution flawless palette

You can find all these products in your local highstreet drug stores.

This was a new look I tried today, I chose colours specific to autumn. I was quite worried about going for a red-y/brown smokey look but it turned out okay. I think if your wearing neutral colours; going all out on your face is perfect.

Eyes
- 'Soft Glow' as base
- 'Gold Digger' on inner corners
- 'Red Night' all over eyelids
- 'Pure Chocolate' on outer eyelids to create the smokey look

Lips
Rimmel 128- Starry-eyed (my current fave!)

You know, I think if you really exaggerated this look, it would be perfect for halloween!

A quick and easy put together, was having a manic morning but still wanted to look presentable. Usually darker colours just don't look good on me, makes my dark circles stand out more and I just look so so tired. However, this was totally different.
Its a really good bronze shade just right for Autumn.

Eyes
- 'Angel' - inner corners
- ''Copper Shimmer' - all over the eyelids

Lips
Rimmel 077 - Asia

Yes, that is my pyjamas haha!

I love a gold eye and classic red lip, this makeup will definitely be my go-to December makeup and take me right through to Christmas! Its quick and simple but beautiful.

Eyes
- 'Golden Night' - all over the eyelids
- 'Darkest Shimmer' - slightly on the outer corners just to add some definition

Lips
Rimmel Lip Crayon - Redder the Better

Heres a mini video for you to check out

I hope I've given you some Autumn inspiration or just a little insight to the make up I use if your as nosey as I am

LETS TALK MASCARA

Lets talk Mascara, most of us wear it, its a staple product in most peoples make up bags. If I'm planning on not wearing much make-up to pop to my local shop my go-to first grab item is a mascara- it makes all the difference!
I think I mentioned in a blog posts months ago that I was trying to try and change my make up iems as had stuck to the same products for such a longgggg time - when i could possible find something better :) so over the months I've been trying different Mascaras that have caught my eye.

Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama

I purchased this Mascara when I saw it advertised in my local Boots drugstore as a new poduct, I thought it was the perfect different kind of mascara to use. I actually really like this product, it definitely gave my lashes some volume and 'push-up' effect. It was easy to use and I really like the wand. The only downfall that I found was if i was rushing to do my make up it would be clumpy. But, if you have the time to build it gradually 1 or 2 layers it was perfect. The tube was really pretty too, really stands out amongst your make up bits.

Rimmel Scandel Eyes Extreme

I purchased this Mascara after a couple of recommendations of some friends as was looking for abit more volume for a night out. Out of the 3 this is my least favourite, I really struggled to use it. I didn't like the wand and the 2 different type of bristles. Although it had instructions on the back of the tube still struggled to get it right. It was. for me, extremely clumpy, every time I put it on there was clumpy bits in my eyelashes. It didn't give much volume or effect other then looking messy-It was generally messy to use- I was lucky if didn't get it all over the tube hands etc in the process.
I did purchase a different mascara as soon as i could as just wasn't enjoying using this one. Sadly not a fave (thumbs down)

L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes Fatale

I saw a video of this being used on Facebook and was interested in giving it a try. when I did see it in my local Boots Drugstore the lovely bottle caught my eye, really love this tube and the colours :)
I've been using this for about a week or so now so its still pretty new but I'm loving it so far. Although it doesn't give as much volume as I hoped but... i really really like the way it fans out my lashes and the way they look. Its so easy to use and no problems so far.

So thats a few I've been trying, liking and disliking. Whats your favourite mascara, any recommendations?
