SUMMER CLOTHING WISHLIST | BOYS

To continue with the theme, here's a follow on from my previous post, Highstreet Summer Clothing Wishlist because as much as I love buying clothes, I really really enjoy buying clothes for my little one too. Its more exciting buying for your kiddies I think! πŸ˜€
We already have a few bits left over from last year but whats wrong wrong with having a few more.
ps - his actual wardrobe has way more in it that mine haha!

GEORGE at ASDA

I'm really loving George and there T-shirts at the moment, some really cool patterns around to jazz up the summer outifit! I like adding fun to the outfit with a funky bright top. I'll be honest, I have already bought the bottom two t-shirtsπŸ˜€ I think the Nemo has to be my next one as I really love the pattern!

HandM
I COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EYES WHEN I SAW THESE FLAMINGO SHORTS, I was in awe! Only because now we can be all matchy-matchy as I've actually gone and bought the flamingo trousers in my wishlist haha

Next also have some lovely espadrilles and shoes that I want to invest in for the upcoming season. I'm a huge fan on next items for kiddies as they are good quality and seem to last Alex such a long time :)

Where do you shop for your kiddies clothing?

HIGH-STREET SUMMER CLOTHING WISHLIST

Who isn't always on the hunt for some new clothes? I know I always am, especially when the seasons are changing! Theres just so many pretty things about at the moment, here I've put together a few  alot of the things I'd really love to be wearing this year, mainly tops and most of it from New Look as I feel there killing it right now! So how about I start with the items from thereπŸ˜€

Quite a few different patterns and colours there but its good to have a mixture, something I've learnt recently as used to stick to what I knew and not venture out from my comfort zone.
If I had to pick my favourites; they are the Denim Shirt, White Crochet Kimono, Denim Jeans and yellow top. I mean, that was hard to choose haha!

I popped into our local store the other day on a whim and totally fell in love with this multicoloured dress! It'd be perfect for a beautiful summers day or on holiday dressed up or down!
Stripes seem to be a theme haha, I do really like them to be honest...

My love of flamingos continues to grow with these trousers, would look lovely with a cute white cami (heart emoji). On that note, River Island also have some cute camisoles at the moment but as I already have alot here didn't want to include more.

Probably a spend of a good £200 - best get saving for a huge shopping spree haha

As you can tell there are no shoes here, thats because I'm really struggling to find any I like at the moment, any ideas?

What would love to be wearing this summer? or have you brought any of these already, what do you think?

 Happy Shopping x

GIRLS NIGHT OUTFIT

Sometimes all you need is some quality time with your bff, get yourself a little glammed up, a few drinks and quite a few selfie haha!! This is exactly what I got up to last night πŸ˜„
I don't get to do this half as much as I like and really do cherish the little moments where I can spend some time with my friends talking all things girly...

I really did enjoy myself and felt confident and snazzy in my outfit ( as it covered all my non-favourite bits haha), here's a little snippet...
The top was my only new purchase from River Island and I'm so in love with it, the broken shirt kind of look. I'm all about the cold shoulder at the moment too and think its going to last me right through the spring/summer-so many ways to wear it and items to wear it with. See it here. Leather-look leggings and Boot from New Look.
Teamed with a dark lip to make your look pop I wore Black Cherry by Revlon.
The dressing up part can be the most fun, right? I love getting ready for a night out.

Can't wait to do this again!!

What do you get up to as part of girls night?
xx

ps - heres a funny fact, I left the price sticker on my bra all night!! so glad you couldn't (hopefully) see it through my top haha

SMALL TREATS HAUL

I'm back with another 'see what I bought' post - I think I have spending problem haha

I just find myself mooching around the shops trying things on, testing out makeup products and once I love it I have to buy it, yano spending a small fortune. Although with spring on its way its always nice to treat yourself to some fashion and beauty bits to take you into the months.
'Excuses Excuses' I hear you saying haha, okok I just wanted these things, I'll be honest they weren't needed hahaπŸ™Š

Superdrug - I went in to look for a very black felt tip eyeliner and came out with this small bundle and have already been using them! All used in my previous FOTD post, see here

Rimmel True Match Foundation in Classic Ivory, an old favourite foundation of mine
Rmmel Lasting Finish in Light Porcelain

Maybelline The Eraser Eye in Light, I really really love this, I like the sponge style application
Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner in Black, the best felt tip style eyeliner I've come across so far. Very back - just what I needed as found others I was using would need a couple of coats when having eyeshadow on.

Let me know if you want any reviews guys?

Primark - another case of picking up more than I went for haha (work shoes) I feel kinda guilty now I'm jotting this down haha

HOW CUTE is this T-shirt? I mean, I actually went back for this as I couldn't stop thinking of it haha I'm into my stripes atm but those mini almost drawn on hearts just set it off, nice little bargain at only £2.50.
It was certainly time for some new shoes as I have been wearing the same shoes day in day out for quite a few months, the aubergine-y coloured slip ons are beaut! I also rediscovered my love for pointed pumps, just so pretty; picked up a black pair with gold trim as can pretty much go with most outfits.

Let the spending ban commence haha!

What have you been buying recently?

MINI NEWLOOK SPLURGE

So, I stopped by New Look the other day with the intention of just finding a new top for an upcoming meal out, little did I know I'd come out with more as I usually find clothes shopping so hard but I was just picking up so many things to try on.We all know, I'm a huge black jean wearer, So when I saw the black jeans with the floral designs and rips at the knee, I just had to pick them up because it's a little different to the norm but still in my comfort zone.

Plus, I think they make my bum look nice! hahahaha!!
I love the red top too, I don't have anything red so thought this was the perfect item to add that colour yet simple enough that it will match alot of outfits - it actually goes well with the floral jeans. (I think anyway)The black, white and mustard cold shoulder top was my surprise pick up, I saw it and just HAD to get it. Would of regretted it if I didn't.  Not only because I love cold shoulder baggy tops as you can wear them with pretty much anything but because I love the yellow mustard colour. On a whole I can't wear a mustard yellow on its own as it makes me look so washed out, so have it splashed in pretty patterns was perfect for me.
I'd really like some floral boots now...

Successful Shopping Trip indeed!πŸ‘

Please drop a comment below if you want to see how I will style these items/OOTD's and let me know of any recent splurges you've made πŸ˜„

AUTUMN JUMPERS WISHLIST - MOTHER&SON

With the drastic change in weather the last few days and sitting here feeling the cold, listening to the rain; blankets are out, heating is on and the snuffly noses have returned. I've found myself wandering around online looking at Jumpers/Jackets and just general warmer wear.
To be honest, I reckon it'll be blazing hot sunshine again soon...but hey, better to be prepared, right? It is English weather after all, the most unpredictable!

So whilst having a little gander online I thought I'd put together a little wishlist of jumpers/jackets I'd like me and my son to have this year :)

Multicoloured Checked Coat - River Island
I am so in love with RI at the moment, I'd buy the whole shop if I could. I came across this Coat I believe in a window display in my local store, and fell in love immediately! I like how it has drops of colour to brighten it up from just being that average 'black coat'  - I think it would go with majority of my wardrobe and can be dressed up or down - perfect for most occasions.

Flecked Knit Jumper - New Look
Pretty simple colours, be perfect with a pair of jeans
Michelle Keegan Fur Collar Batwing Jumper - Lipsy
Something a little out my comfort zone, something I wouldn't usually wear but the fur just makes it look so cosy and warm. It is detachable, so can also whip it off if its getting in the way or whatnot.

I've seen a couple of other knitwear items on Boohoo and Asos that I'm also after and also going to have a gander in our newly refurbished Primark and see what I can come across
..but I'm not too sure how many jumpers is too many? haha

All Items - Next

Alex is a little hit and miss in most shops with sizes but I 100% know the size of Next clothes for him so this is my usual go-to place if I'm looking to order online as is garenteed to fit. Don't get me wrong if I'm out and about and see something I/he likes in the local supermarket (Asda clothes are my fave atm) or clothes shop I will pick it up and give it try on him :)
I think a nice little gilet will be perfect for those not too cold, not too hot days to wear with a long-sleeved top and jeans.
I love the chevron jumper, I have no idea but really reminds me of the build up to Christmas nice simple colours too. Just a little cute piece I think he'd look quite cute in.
I have repurchased this hoodie many times every time he grows out of one, its just such a staple product in his wardrobe, it goes with everything, a nice little layer if its a little chilly, perfect for him to get on and off when the weather changes.

I'm quite looking forward to updating our wardrobes, whats on your wishlists this year?
I'd love to know

THE PERFUME WAS MY WEAKNESS

I had an unexpected free Friday, as didn't end up doing what I had thought- but it wasn't that fun so having some me time was a bonus :)
I arranged with a friend to have a gander around the shops and go for some lunch.
My day started off with dropping Alex off and nursery and having an ultimate chill out morning in front of the TV binge watching Once Upon a Time. Got to say, at the moment this is something I could watch day in, day out- I'm that into it! It did make me late leaving my house to head into town to meet my friend as just had to finish the episode I was on.
If you haven't seen it and into fairy tales but with a twist - get on Netflix and give it a try.

We met at the local New Look a successful shopping trip indeed, I didn't get what I intended to buy but successful all the same :)

Black High-Waisted Jeans - Black goes with everything right? I've never owned a pain of high-waisted so thought why not try them on. Loved them, keep everything tucked in but also better to tuck tops in then normal jeans and this is something I seem to be doing quite abit at the moment

I tried on some bodysuits too as was curious as to how they would look. Do you see a theme, it seemed to be an unintended day of new things out of my comfort zone.

I am in LOVE with this one, the colour, the style I think goes really well with the high-waisted jeans that you can wear casually or dress up!

But Guys, I need your help!! I really really want a berry colour lipstick to match this top - can you recommend any you think would look great?
drop me a comment, tweet, message
:)

I like this one because of my love for stripes and is always good to have a mix of colour to match with different items in your wardrobe. But, I've been trying this on with different items etc and I just don't feel as good in it as i did in the changing room, so I think it'll be going back to the store, maybe an exchange? Not sure yet though

I only planned to go to Boots for some coral looking nail varnish as was feeling something bright for my toes. I came out with Rimmel - Glaston-berry which is a pretty colour. A coral-pink, bright but not too bright. i really like it was definitely the look I was going for.

For those who know me know I am a massive perfume fan. My collection was getting smaller so over the last couple of weeks I've been having a gander. I 100% did not intend to buy any perfume on Friday haha but when we was having a look we were told an extra 20% off all perfumes. I could not resist this opportunity. It took me so long to choose but went with Flower by KENZO. This perfume is a really sweet blend, probably better to wear spring/summer time but I love changing my 'smell' on a daily basis :)
what perfumes do you like?

We had a lovely chinese lunch at MaySum a buffet-style restaurant I haven't visit in such a long time and got to say I really enjoyed it, I came home afterwards as we actually spent quite some time in NewLook haha and yep I did binge watch another episode of OUAT before collecting Alex from nursery - what am I gonna do when I'm finished? haha - luckily I've had another series recommended to me.

I have a list as long as my arm for other things I want to buy, can't wait to update my wardrobe with jumpers and cosy cardigans.

Love days like this!

OOTD!!

This is something a bit different for me to talk about, but I really loved what I was wearing :)

Did you read in Weekly Wonders that I had my works Christmas do this week? It took me so long to find something to wear!

I realise the picture quality is pretty rubbish, still working on my photo taking skills haha!

So this is what I wore :) minus slippers though!! I was waiting on a workman coming round, didn't think heels would of been appropriate haha!
I think with the shirt tucked into the leggings gave the outfit a more of 'going out' look as it is quite a long shirt that can be wore casually too. The leggings did get more high waist as the night went on! haha

Outfit
Leather look leggings - New Look
Cameo Rose Stripe Shirt - New Look
Necklace - Next

I feel the red nails was a good contrast and really set it off, I did wear a red lipstick also - Rimmel - The Redder the Better.

Shoes - Miss Selfridge
I've had these a couple of years now and are definately beginning to show there age, but there one of my fave going out shoes!
The ribbon laces and pattern is what attracted me to buying them!

I chose this necklace as my outfit was so stripy that I think the circle just mixed it up a bit.

Overall, this outfit and me had a good night! I'm not a big dress wearing kinda girl sadly. Used to be, don't know what happened! Maybe one day me and a dress will meet again....

Find me on Facebook or Twitter  or comment below and let me know what you think about this blogpost, would you like to see more similiar to this?

Love to you all x

MOMMY'S BEEN OUT!!!

I hear you saying Mommy is American, why have you put that? The thing is, that is what Alex calls me. No idea why but I go with it!

Yes Yes, I realise it seems I'm going out alot this month meeting friends for food and drinks etc, but due to work circumstances with myself and Alex's Daddy, I like to make the most of the free time as there are a lot of times throughout the year when my time is dedicated to going to work and looking after Alex. Take Christmas for example, I didn't see any friends the whole of December, and not until the 27th did I see any family either. So now business isn't busy there's the extra time to go out and spend time with friends. We all need to sometimes see our friends right?!

So remember me telling you I was going for dinner on Thursday? It seemed to have turned into a dinner and cocktail night, we stayed out way longer than expected! But was so fun and chilled at the same time. I've been a bit stressed recently with this and that, I think this is just what I needed as I'm feeling slightly more myself :)

These are just a couple of picture of some cocktails we had in 2 different bars.
On the left is a raspberry mojito (wasn't one of my faves, too many seeds in it) love the jars they were served in though, really cool! On the right, something called In The Pink. All I can remember about this is its mixed with rose wine and vodka, not sure what juice. But it is one of the nicest cocktails I've ever tried really sweet with a good kick from the wine.
If you have a Fat Cat Bar in your home town I'd recommend finding out if they do this drink and give it a try! Also see if they have deals on, we got ours 2 4 1 so ended up with 2 different of cocktails, this is just one, the other tasted like a drumstick lolly.

Although these 2 pictures don't cover half the cocktails we had! Alcoholics right?! Nah, we both actually felt okay, I think its because we had dinner first.
What's your favourite beverage?

I didn't take a photo of what I wore as it was a really cold night and with not expecting to stay out so long I just wore black jeans and khaki jumper, nothing special. Although I did op for heeled boots just to jazz the outfit up.

I love these boots, I bought them one day when I was looking for some boots for a birthday dinner, but it was cold so wanted something to cover my whole foot and didn't want a thin heel as I already have a couple of pairs of shoes like that. So went for these something a bit different but... they go with most things whether your dressing up or down. I purchased them from New Look in November so not sure if they'll be available now.
In fact thinking about it, my whole outfit was from New Look haha, I'll try get pictures of the other items.

Writing this, I realise I didn't get as many pictures as I would have hoped, but we were just too busy chatting and having a good time. My brother did receive a few snapchats though! Got way too carried away with time, must of been about 2 when I got home! (naughty me! long time since I've done that) Little Alex was awake with Daddy, so after showering we went to bed and watched a film.

As a Mummy (or Daddy) we dedicate a lot of ourselves to our children all through the day and night,  and some parents don't have a lot of support around them. But for myself, as my little one is getting older I'm realising it is okay for me to take that little break, sometimes it could be days or sometimes its month where I can go out without him.
But even if you are unable to go out I really suggest that its okay to do something for yourself whether that's daily or weekly, however your lifestyle works for you.
Some ideas, could be having a bubbly bath, reading, watching something you choose to watch, going out for a coffee, changing the way you do your make-up, treating yourself, anything you want to do. Be kind to yourself. What do you like to do?

Leave your comments below, like and share :)

Love to you all! x

DECEMBER HAUL

Somewhere in December I subconsciously decided this would be the month I'd treat myself. Which is strange because I don't really do that very often. A couple of things have been for myself but its mainly bits for around the house.

Do you remember the wall plaque in my previous Birthday Haul? I finally got another and got them up on the wall above my bed. I love them, ones inspirational and the other reminds you to relax, perfect balance :)

I also got myself some new cushions for my living room sofa, as my old ones needed updating.
These fit nicely in with the colour scheme of my living room with a bit of each colour in them just ties the room together. It's a tweed design on the front with the colours (Teal and Beige) entwined within each other, with a block teal panel on the back.
Large comfortable cushion, only now I'm too afraid to sit on them incase they get ruined! silly eh?
You can find these in NEXT, if you want to go and have a look, they also have this design in another colour.

Then in yesterdays boxing day sales I came across a bed set that I just had to have. I've been wanting to tart up my duvet sets for a while but hadn't come across I liked till today as its just so colourful, something different to what I would usually choose.
Starting to love this pattern more and more. I got this from BHS.

Also with my holiday coming up (yay going today!) I've been having the difficulty of deciding what clothes to take. However, I did have 2 definate contenders in the top department that I has purchased this month. Both are off white in colour but when buying them I thought at least they will match most trousers. Can't wait to wear them and add some accessories.

I purchased this from NewLook, which is a short- sleeved slouchy T-shirt, which is always good for if you feel like having a big meal.
I love the stripes and quote that just jazzes it up a little more.
My fave out of the 2!
With a black jeans and blazer this could also pull off a smart look.

I got this yesterday also in the boxing day sales. Another off white short-sleeved top. This one is a little more fitted than the above with some beautiful embroidery on the sleeves and around the neckline

( sorry the picture doesn't do it much notice)

This was from Dorothy Perkins.

On that note, I'm currently getting ready to leave for my holiday and just can't wait for the change of scenery, fun and relaxation! #bliss

xx
