PANCAKE PICKS

I don't know about you but I LURRRVE pancakes all year round, but you can't deny there is just something exciting about pancake day- the only day where its acceptable to eat pancakes from morning till night if you wish. I personally prefer mine as a brunch-y kind of meal- and its only 2days away now.

Guess what? It also means that spring is on it way!

Over the year I've experimented a little more with different toppings and thought I'd share some of my favourites with you😀

ps- I'm no where near an expert at making anything, no measurements included (choose your own) just pour and see how many you get from it - winging it! Making it super EASY PEASY

You will Need :
- Plain Flour
- Milk
- Egg(s)
-Butter
- Choice of toppings/filings

-Mixing Bowl
- Whisk/Fork
Such a great way to get the kiddies involved!
Add the flour, Milk and Eggs into the mixing bowl and Mix Mix Mix with whisk/fork to create a smooth runny batter (but not too watery)
I like to use the butter in the pan as an alternative to oil, I think it gives the pancakes extra taste and if you get it right crispy edges.
*Feel free to use any other alternatives to oil that you prefer*
Blueberry Pancakes
This, without a doubt, is the one I tend to make the most - its so yummy. Adding blueberries into the mixture which as they cook, the skins pop and let the blueberry juice run into the pancake. Adding some sugar on the top to add a little sweetness and wa-lah your all done!
Why not try adding some extra honey?
Chocolate & Strawberry Stack
For the chocolate lover inside! Add some chocolate spread into your mixture and you've got yourself some yummy chocolate flavoured pancakes. In the chocolate stack above, I popped MilkyBar white chocolate yoghurt on the bottom layer, strawberries in the second and crumbled Oreo on the top! Oreo's are my absolute favfavfav biscuit in the world so why not add them onto a pancake? It was delish!
Chocolate Heaven... right?
The Classic
Of course, you CANNOT have pancake day without the classic lemon and sugar! A much lighter filling than the chocolate stack. I've got to admit I much prefer the lemon juice from a fresh lemon than a bottle. I like having the extra slices to squeeze as you go. It also looks really fancy - something to pull out if your having a pancake party? Is that a thing? I'd love that! I'm definitely going to do this one year haha

Will you be making your own pancakes this Tuesday? Its so quick and easy-I can't wait to have them again. Still working on Alex, he doesn't seem a fan no matter what topping I use, this makes me kinda sad haha!

I would love to know what your favourite filling/topping is?
The choices you have are endless.

Happy Pancake Making

SMALL TREATS HAUL

I'm back with another 'see what I bought' post - I think I have spending problem haha

I just find myself mooching around the shops trying things on, testing out makeup products and once I love it I have to buy it, yano spending a small fortune. Although with spring on its way its always nice to treat yourself to some fashion and beauty bits to take you into the months.
'Excuses Excuses' I hear you saying haha, okok I just wanted these things, I'll be honest they weren't needed haha🙊

Superdrug - I went in to look for a very black felt tip eyeliner and came out with this small bundle and have already been using them! All used in my previous FOTD post, see here

Rimmel True Match Foundation in Classic Ivory, an old favourite foundation of mine
Rmmel Lasting Finish in Light Porcelain

Maybelline The Eraser Eye in Light, I really really love this, I like the sponge style application
Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner in Black, the best felt tip style eyeliner I've come across so far. Very back - just what I needed as found others I was using would need a couple of coats when having eyeshadow on.

Let me know if you want any reviews guys?

Primark - another case of picking up more than I went for haha (work shoes) I feel kinda guilty now I'm jotting this down haha

HOW CUTE is this T-shirt? I mean, I actually went back for this as I couldn't stop thinking of it haha I'm into my stripes atm but those mini almost drawn on hearts just set it off, nice little bargain at only £2.50.
It was certainly time for some new shoes as I have been wearing the same shoes day in day out for quite a few months, the aubergine-y coloured slip ons are beaut! I also rediscovered my love for pointed pumps, just so pretty; picked up a black pair with gold trim as can pretty much go with most outfits.

Let the spending ban commence haha!

What have you been buying recently?

SATURDAY SUMMARY & FOTD

HEY HEY,
hope you've all had a lovely Saturday, what have you been up to? Any plans for this evening?
I had a lovely day ticking this off my to-do list; including the dreaded Cleaning the Makeup brushes task with a night planned in front of the TV with a plate of spaghetti and meatballs- yum!

It feels good to finally have my blog page back open and tip-tapping away on this blogpost! I was feeling ill for what felt like so long and just couldn't bring myself to even open my laptop!! Lying down when I wasn't at work seemed like the only thing I was good at...but a huge YAY for feeling better!!👍
The sun has been re-appearing and the temperatures have felt slightly better, this is making me so excited for spring/summer- just need to tone up me bod so I can wear some nice things haha

Its very rare that I wear a full face of make-up on a Saturday just because its my homey day and I don't tend to go any further than my local shop, but today I had something to do that I had to get ready for.
After a few posey photos I thought I'd pop down a little face of the day.

MINI NEWLOOK SPLURGE

So, I stopped by New Look the other day with the intention of just finding a new top for an upcoming meal out, little did I know I'd come out with more as I usually find clothes shopping so hard but I was just picking up so many things to try on.We all know, I'm a huge black jean wearer, So when I saw the black jeans with the floral designs and rips at the knee, I just had to pick them up because it's a little different to the norm but still in my comfort zone.

Plus, I think they make my bum look nice! hahahaha!!
I love the red top too, I don't have anything red so thought this was the perfect item to add that colour yet simple enough that it will match alot of outfits - it actually goes well with the floral jeans. (I think anyway)The black, white and mustard cold shoulder top was my surprise pick up, I saw it and just HAD to get it. Would of regretted it if I didn't.  Not only because I love cold shoulder baggy tops as you can wear them with pretty much anything but because I love the yellow mustard colour. On a whole I can't wear a mustard yellow on its own as it makes me look so washed out, so have it splashed in pretty patterns was perfect for me.
I'd really like some floral boots now...

Successful Shopping Trip indeed!👍

Please drop a comment below if you want to see how I will style these items/OOTD's and let me know of any recent splurges you've made 😄
